tender mercy...
I have a lot of superstitions that I've made up for myself and completely believe in. Since I was little I've considered it good luck to have a matching cereal bowl and cup. It's not something I mess with; I don't find matching ones. I just open the bowl cupboard and take the first one on the stack and do the same with the cup cupboard. When they match, I know I've started the day out right.
A duck crossed my path as I walked on campus this morning. That has to be the ultimate sign of good luck. Every time I see ducks they make me laugh. That Dawn commercial where they are cleaning the oil off of the animals is my favorite because at the very end a duck quacks and it cracks me up seriously every time. One day me and John told each other what our patronuses would be, and we joked that mine is a duck because they make me so happy.
made me laugh...
John likes to tickle me (because I'm super ticklish and it doesn't take much) but he isn't ticklish so I have no fair way to fight back. And I seriously have to fight back because it gets to that point where it hurts and I can't breathe because I'm laughing so hard. So I usually pinch. I'm an awesome pincher and he's always the one to start these fights so I don't feel bad about hurting him. He knows what he's getting into.
Last night, I don't know if it's because it was time for me to go to bed or what, but he started tickling me and I just laid there and laughed way loud. I didn't have any energy to pinch back and my laugh was making him laugh way hard, so he wouldn't quit. It wasn't even close to the painful tickles that he usually gets me with and actually turned out being.....pretty funny.
Alison, you're too funny. Matching cereal bowl & cup, and ducks. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd you talking about being that ticklish made me laugh about you laughing super hard. Annnd...that's why I love spontaneously tickling you at dinner, and when popping backs :D
